CHRYSEIA 2023

The Chryseia 2023 results from a unique collaboration between Bruno Prats, legendary French Bordeaux producer, and the Symington family, an unavoidable reference in the Douro. This author red comes from selected vineyards on the schist slopes of Douro Superior, where altitude and sun exposure create perfect conditions for slow, balanced ripening. The deep ruby color reveals concentration and youth. The nose is refined and complex, with layers of fresh black fruits, violet, graphite and a distinctive mineral touch that evokes the terroir. On the palate, elegance is the key word: silky tannins, precise acidity and a long, saline finish. Vinification in stone lagares with foot treading and careful ageing in French oak barrels preserves fruit purity. A wine that transcends borders, uniting Bordelaise sophistication with the Portuguese soul of the Douro.
