1. These General Terms of Sale are intended to regulate the use of [www.manueltavares.com](http://www.manueltavares.com) and the provision of the Online Store service by Manuel Tavares, Lda, headquartered at Rua da Betesga 1 A e B, 1100-090 Lisbon, tax ID 500 495 491.
2. Browsing and purchasing from the Online Store implies full acceptance of these terms.
3. The online sales section is divided into two main categories: Wine Cellar and Grocery.
4. Alcoholic beverages can only be purchased by persons of legal drinking age in their country of residence.
5. Manuel Tavares reserves the right to change information, prices, promotions, and commercial conditions without prior notice.
6. Product images are illustrative and may not exactly match the delivered product.
7. Occasional price or exchange rate differences may occur. Prices are indicative and only become binding after order confirmation.
8. All prices include VAT at the legal rate in force.
9. The minimum online purchase amount is €5.
10. Product descriptions reflect Manuel Tavares’ interpretation and may differ from individual perception.
11. Website content is continuously updated and may be modified without prior notice.
12. Rare or vintage products may show natural signs of aging on packaging, labels, or seals, accepted by the buyer.
13. Website promotions and campaigns may not coincide with those in physical stores.
🛒 Orders
14. User registration is required to make online purchases.
15. Products can be added to the cart by unit or by weight.
16. The minimum weight per bulk item is 50g.
17. Before completing the purchase, a summary of the order will be presented.
📦 Packaging Costs
18. Packaging costs depend on the type and quantity of products.
19. Orders over €50 within mainland Portugal qualify for free shipping.
20. Orders to islands and abroad follow specific conditions shown at checkout.
🚚 Shipping Costs and Destinations
21. Shipping costs vary depending on weight, destination, and carrier:
* Mainland Portugal: free shipping for Wine Cellar orders over €50.
* Islands (Azores and Madeira): costs from €9.45.
* Europe: shipping available to various EU countries.
* Outside Europe: only Wine Cellar products.
22. Cheese and Charcuterie products are shipped only within mainland Portugal.
🚛 Carriers
23. Orders are shipped via Iberomail, Mailboxes, and CTT.
For the “Delivery by Municipality” option, delivery is handled directly by Manuel Tavares.
⏱️ Delivery Times
24. Average delivery times are:
* 1–2 business days (Lisbon and covered municipalities)
* 1–3 business days (Mainland Portugal)
* 2–15 business days (Azores and Madeira)
* 3–8 business days (Europe)
* Up to 20 business days (rest of the world)
💳 Payment Methods
25. Available payment methods are: Multibanco, MB Way, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and Bank Transfer.

🎁 Manuel Tavares Gift Card
26. The Manuel Tavares Gift Card is digital and intended for online store purchases.
27. It is available in amounts from €30 to €1000, valid for 12 months from the purchase date.
28. The card is automatically sent by email after payment confirmation.
29. The generated code is unique and non-transferable, and must be kept secure.
30. The card must be used in a single purchase.
31. Unused balance is non-refundable and cannot be reused.
32. The card cannot be exchanged for cash.
33. Promotions, discounts, and vouchers do not apply to Gift Card purchases.
34. The card is non-refundable and non-cancelable once activated.
35. Both the buyer and recipient must be of legal drinking age (18 years).
36. Purchasing and using the card implies full acceptance of these terms.
🔐 Responsibility
37. Manuel Tavares is not responsible for errors in email input, loss, or misuse of the card code.
38. The store reserves the right to block cards obtained or used fraudulently.
📜 Returns and Resolution
39. Customers have the right to return products (except Gift Cards) within 14 days, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 143/2001.
40. Purchases are subject to Portuguese law and, in case of disputes, the Court of the District of Lisbon will apply.
