ABANDONADO 2020 RED

Abandonado 2020 comes from a vineyard over 80 years old, on a steep schist soil in the Douro, known as the “Vinha do Abandonado”. Grape varieties include Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional among others. The wine stands out for intensity and complexity, presenting unusual aromas such as balsamic notes, tar, liquorice and ripe dark fruits. On the palate it shows minerality, well‑defined fruit, firm but ripe tannins, solid structure and a sense of fruit purity combined with a wild vineyard character. It is a dense and elegant wine, ideal for those who enjoy intense wines with strong identity, perfect with roasted meats, game or robust dishes.
