QUINTA VALE MEAO 2023 RED

Quinta do Vale Meão 2023 is a benchmark red from Douro Superior made by Quinta do Vale Meão. It blends traditional grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz, vinified separately in granite lagares with foot treading. The wine ferments in small vats and ages in French oak barrels (part new, part second‑year), giving it structure, complexity and elegance. On the nose it shows ripe wild red fruits, violets, spices, mineral and toasted nuances. On the palate it offers full body, intense fruit, polished tannins and a long, elegant finish. It is a wine for ageing, ideal for special occasions, important meals or robust dishes.
