This wine associates its quality with the name of the cartoxic monks who, since 1587, have practiced a lonely life of prayer at the Monastery of Santa Maria Scala Coeli in Évora. It results from a careful selection of castes in the olderly vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. It was first produced in 1987.
