RECENT VINTAGES · 2016–2024

A closer look at recent Vintages

2016

Exceptional

An outstanding year recognised by the IVDP, with classic Vintage declarations from leading Port houses.

2017

Exceptional

Already part of the historical selection, 2017 saw widespread Vintage declarations.

2024

Classic declarations

In 2026, several renowned Port houses announced their 2024 Vintage Ports, marking a return to classic declarations.

Between 2018 and 2023, individual Port houses and estates produced Vintage Ports. This does not imply widespread declarations or a uniform overall rating for those years.

Note: The ratings through 2017 reproduce Manuel Tavares’s historical selection, with 2016 added for context. The 2024 designation refers to declarations announced by producers, not to an independent vintage rating. Each Port house decides whether to declare a Vintage; inclusion of a year does not imply that bottles are available in our shop.
