TONGS FOR WINE (QUINTA DO NOVAL)

Tongs for wine from Quinta do Noval.

Sometimes in the very old bottles of Porto or other wine, the cork, although fulfilling its function, may be more fragile due to age. This Tongs allows a clean cut below where the cork is. The extemity is heavily heated in fire, and is then placed in the bottleneck of the bottle below the level of the cork. Pressing hard, a "crease" is created on the same bottleneck. Carefully then rinse with water, snapping it and thus creating a clean cut. Comes with a custom wooden box.
