Cheese from Beira Baixa, also known as Queimoso cheese. Made from sheep's and goat´s milk, is a cured cheese, with semi-hard paste, with small irregular or uniform eyes, presenting a greyish or dirty white color. It has an intense aroma and a very spicy flavor, also intense.

Beira Baixa's spicy cheese can be consumed as dessert, as an entree or as a snack, with bread to accompany it. It can also be accompanied by red wine or coffee, at the end of a meal.
