QUINTA DO NOVAL VINTAGE 2017

Noval overflows in two valleys from Pinhão to Roncão, which contribute to two very different lands, both predominantly facing south: very unusual in the nose, heady aromas of the Douro with a touch of dust and eucalyptus, wild and aromatic; dense, soft and seductive on the palate, with firm, dusty and mineral (schist) tannins, beautifully integrated, but still modest and without the freshness that characterizes so many of these wines. - Richard Mayson
