QUINTA DO NOVAL PETIT VERDOT 2022

The Quinta do Noval Petit Verdot 2022 is a 100% Petit Verdot varietal wine from the Douro made by Quinta do Noval. Harvest in 2022 combined particularly dry conditions with heat spells, favoring excellent phenolic ripeness. Fermented in stainless steel vats for 7 days, followed by malolactic fermentation; aged for 12 months in 225-litre French oak barrels, 50% new, 35% one-wine, 15% two-wine barrels. It shows a deep purple colour, intense aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, spices, pepper and cedar. On the palate it offers abundant fruit, firm structure, vibrant acidity, and promises good evolution over the next 10 years.
