QUINTA DO GRADIL XO EXTRA
A well kept treasure in a Quinta that once belonged to Sebastião José de Carvalho and Melo, the Marquis of Pombal. The history of this brandy begins in 1970, with the distillation of several native grape varieties from the Lisbon Region in "Charentais" Alambiques. Originating in the region of Cognac in France, this type of Alambiques is characterized by its slow distillation process, typical of noble distillates of very high quality, without any traces of impurities. After careful distillation, this brandy has grown, forgotten and quiet during More than 40 years in Portuguese and French oak barrels. The long stage in vats gave it a golden amber color. With notes of nuts and spices, harmonized with the perfection that only time achieves, combined with an elegant and complex velvety texture. - Producer
