MARANHOS
The Fumeiro da Beira Maranhos are a traditional specialty from the Beira Baixa region in Portugal. Each maranho is made with lamb casing stuffed with pork, chouriço, cured ham, rice, mint, garlic, salt, and a touch of white wine, creating a rich, aromatic, and authentic flavor.
How to serve:
Place the maranho in a container with boiling water for 12 minutes; once it boils, remove and serve.
Alternatively, it can be heated in the oven or microwave. Serve hot, accompanied by French fries, salad, or sautéed greens, for a complete gastronomic experience.
Produced by O Fumeiro da Beira, founded in 1990 in Mação, these maranhos preserve the traditional flavors of the region and are an excellent choice for lovers of Portuguese charcuterie. The brand also exports to several countries, bringing the authentic tastes of Beira beyond Portugal.
