A distinct magenta edge involves an almost black purple opaque nucleus. In the nose an explosion of powerful and intense aromas of wild, rich and succulent fruits with notes of currant, blackberry and wild strawberries. Damascus notes appear as the wine opens in the glass, followed by warmer cedar notes, spices, black chocolate and that opulent fruit character that defines the style of Fonseca. On the palate, these exuberant wild fruit aromas are involved in an aura of wild herbs, anis-star, raspberry sheet, cocoa Nibs and a delicious tangerine peel touch.
