Bringing Portugal with you can also begin with a simple wicker basket.

At Manuel Tavares, on Rua da Betesga since 1860, we believe that flavours carry memories. A wine shared in the late afternoon, cheese sliced without rush, Portuguese preserves opened among friends, dried fruits, chocolates and small details that turn simple moments into something special.

Inspired by long summer days, Lisbon gardens, picnics and late afternoons by the sea, we have created our Portuguese wicker baskets, designed to accompany moments of leisure, celebration and discovery.

You can create your own basket by choosing from the different sections of the store and selecting the products you love most. Portuguese wines, national cheeses, charcuterie, preserves, chocolates, dried fruits, traditional sweets, olive oils and other Portuguese specialities can be freely combined to create a unique and personal selection.

Our baskets are made in Portugal and are available in two sizes:

• Small Basket
Dimensions: Height 16 cm × Width 35 cm × Depth 24 cm

Ideal for a more intimate selection, perfect for a picnic for two, a small gift or a special late afternoon moment.

• Large Basket
Dimensions: Height 17 cm × Width 41 cm × Depth 26 cm

Designed for more generous compositions, with space for wines, cheeses, preserves and other Portuguese flavours to share.

To ensure the basket closes properly and maintains its traditional presentation, we recommend a balanced selection of products adjusted to the capacity of each size.
