Long John Royal choice has a long tradition behind it. In 1848 Queen Victoria visited Long John Macdonald's distillery in the Highlands of Scotland, and to mark the occasion he presented her with a cask of his very finest whisky. The Queen gave instructions that the cask should remain unopened until her infant son,the Prince of Wales, reached the age of 21 years.
Commissioned by Long John International, this ceramic decanter was designed and produced by Spode Ltd of Stoke on Trent England, Suppliers of China to the Royal Family since 1806.
