Pine nut, is typically an autumn food but you may find it in the shop all year round.

It can be consumed raw, in salads or being part of numerous gastronomic dishes. By having high calorie indices (600 kcal / 100g) we advise its moderate use of about 100 g / day. We know that today Pine Nut has become a more expensive product than other dried fruits, this is due to the scarcity (lack of production and fires), but we are sure to have the lowest prices on the market anyway.

Learn about the main benefits:

- Contains linoleic acid that is satiating, controlling appetite by releasing cholecystokinin.
- It is the dry fruit with the highest concentration of oleic acid, monounsaturated fat that helps to lower cholesterol levels.
- Antioxidant, due to the presence of Vitamins A, B, C. D and E
- Contains Lutein, which is an essential carotenoid to prevent eye disease.
- It contains fibers and minerals such as potassium, calcium, iron and zinc that promote good gastrointestinal function.

The Pine Nut that we commercialize in Manuel Tavares is 100% Portuguese and of 1st Category.
